Toni Gonzaga was asked about her former movie partner
Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga has this statement on the current legal battle that Kapamilya star Vhong Navarro is facing.
Toni and Vhong did movies together years ago. The first movie they starred in was the horror-comedy film D’ Anothers in 2005. In 2008, they paired again on the big screen through Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina’s romantic comedy movie My Only U.
The last movie that they did together was in 2014 and that was Starting Over Again directed by Olivia Lamasan. In 2010, Vhong and Toni worked together in the comedy fantasy series Kokey @ Ako.
For many years, they worked together in one network. In a recent interview for her upcoming 20th-anniversary concert, Toni Gonzaga was asked about her former movie leading man. Vhong Navarro is currently detained because of the rape case filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo.
When asked about her thoughts on Vhong’s legal battle, Toni said that she is praying for him. “I continue to pray for him, just like all of us in the industry,” the actress-host said. She added that they are hoping that Vhong is safe.
The Ultimate Multimedia Star is also hoping that this legal battle will have a faster pace so that it will soon come to an end. When asked how she feels now about Vhong’s current situation, Toni said that it is inevitable not to feel sad about it.
However, personally, the actress-host said that she does not know what to do about this but to offer her prayers for Vhong. Toni Gonzaga also said that she is looking forward to doing her reunion movie with Vhong Navarro after the issue that he is facing right now.
She added that before, there had been conversation about this and hopefully this will happen in the future.
