THEFT INCIDENT – A man was spotted stealing a bag inside the mall premises in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

According to the police’s spot report, the stolen bag contained IDs, a cellphone valued at P47,990, and cash amounting to P15,000. Additionally, the cellphone of the bag owner’s friend, valued at P12,000, was also taken.
Teose Poja, a 47-year-old resident of Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, stated that the alleged thief introduced themselves to her friend’s child, claiming to only take something from the bag. However, the child was unaware that the person they were talking to was actually a thief.
The incident raises concerns about security measures within the mall and highlights the importance of vigilance, both from mall security personnel and shoppers themselves, to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
Authorities are conducting further investigations to apprehend the suspect and ensure the safety of mallgoers.
