CATRIONA GRAY’S EMPANADA PHOTOS – The photos of the Miss Universe 2018 eating empanada in Ilocos Norte went viral.
The Philippines won the Miss Universe title for four (4) times already – Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1973 Margarita “Margie” Moran, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
Catriona is a Filipino-Australian beauty queen who is also the Miss World Philippines 2016. Her father is an Australian man of Scottish descent, Ian Gray, and her mother, Normita Ragas Magnayon, is a Filipina from Oas, Albay.
Catriona has been joining beauty contests since she was a child. In 1999, she won the title Little Miss Philippines in Sydney at the age of five (5) years old. In 2016, she was crowned the Miss World Philippines and won best in swimsuit, evening gown, fashion runway, and talent.
In the international arena for the Miss World in 2016, she placed in the Top 5. In 2018, she joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant again and won several awards. She represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant held in Thailand and brought home the 4th Miss Universe crown for the country.
Recently, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was in Ilocos Norte for her YouTube series “Raise Your Flag”. She visited Batac City and tried the famous empanada.
