In her latest YouTube vlog, Andi Eigenmann made her own dried fish. She showed the netizens the step-by-step process of making dried fish or what they call buyad on Siargao island.

“This is the time on the island na minsan na lang ‘yung sunny weather. Kaya ngayon we want to take advantage [of the sunny weather] and gagawa kami ng buyad.  Inexplain lang sa akin ni papa ng konti kung paano ‘to gawin,” the celebrity mom said.

To make the buyad, Andi Eigenmann used fresh fish, vinegar, salt water, salt, and pepper. She also demonstrated how the fish is cut into slices and deboned. She combined the seasonings with the fish and then spread them out on the rooftop to dry.

“For the last part is the buyad part aka bilad. That’s where the term buyad came from. In tagalog tuyo,” Andi said.
