Taho Vendor Decides to Wear Halloween Costume to Attract Customers Outside Cemetery

A witty taho vendor wears a costume to attract more customers while selling his products during All Saints’ Day.

Last November 1, 2022, a lot of Filipino people went to cemeteries to visit the graves of their departed loved ones. Most of them carry food, paints, candles, flowers, and other materials necessary for cleaning tombs.

Several citizens were taking this holiday as an opportunity to earn. Some vendors have been selling food and non-food products outside the cemetery. Several vendors were even trying to use some gimmicks to attract more customers.

Recently, the Facebook page “SunStar Cebu shared photos of a hardworking taho vendor who wears a creepy costume while selling his products. The post immediately spread like a wildfire online and elicits reactions from the netizens.

In the photos, it can be seen that the taho vendor identified as Jay-ar Suarez of Barangay Pardo is wearing a simple tattered white shirt, shorts, and shoes while carrying two pales containing taho, sugar syrup, and sago.

Based on his outfit, Suarez is trying to imitate a zombie by applying cosmetics on his face and shirt to look like a zombie. The photo was taken on November 1, 2022, during the observance of All Saints’ Day.

The vendor is selling taho to the residents who visited the graves of their departed loved ones at the Calamba Cemetery in Cebu City.
