Viral Taho Vendor Who Fell Asleep While Selling Goods Received Financial Help

The viral taho vendor who fell asleep during work received financial assistance from the kind-hearted netizens.

A few days ago, the 60-year-old taho vendor identified as Romeo “Tatay Roming” Espinosa goes viral online after he fell asleep beside the road while holding his two pales containing taho, syrup, and sago.

A Facebook user named Christiany Joy S. Lazaro saw the elderly vendor who fell asleep while waiting for customers. He approached the old man for a couple of times before he woke.

The vendor quickly served the customer a cup of taho worth P20. Christiany paid P50 to show her concern to the vendor who continues to make a living despite his old age and health condition.

Lazaro encouraged the public not to look down on other people and help them instead. Her act of kindness quickly circulates online, prompting the netizens to help the old man.

Recently, many concerned individuals reached out to her and even send financial aid to Tatay Roming. Someone even invited the vendor to sell taho during his wedding and some offer to buy a bulk of taho for the Masskara Festival in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The senior citizen’s 21-year-old son Joshua Ablo Espinosa posted his father’s pictures while carrying a sack of rice and other groceries after receiving the money.

“Thank you sa lahat ng nagpaabot ng kanilang pagmamahal sa aking ama. He is so happy sa mga natanggap niyang mga blessings galing sa mga tao na nagmamahal sa kanya,” Espinosa said.
