PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (October 28)
TROPICAL STORM PAENG – The state weather bureau PAGASA has raised signal no. 2 in 6 areas and signal no. 1 in 17 areas.
On Friday (October 28, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Paeng will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that Paeng has been last spotted at 410 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. It has maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 90 kph.
Paeng is expected to bring heavy to intense with at times torrential rains Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Samar, and Eastern Samar. Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains are expected over Western Visayas, Marinduque, Romblon, and Quezon.
The weather bureau said that Paeng might develop into a severe tropical storm by late Friday afternoon and may develop into a typhoon on Saturday dawn (October 29).

“Nakakaapekto na itong malalakas na ulan dulot ni Paeng sa Visayas, and Mindanao, maging dito rin po sa Bicol Region and Mimaropa. Sa mga sususnod na oras, makakaranas na rin ng pag-ulan ang ilang bahagi ng Calabarzon, itong Metro Manila, and Aurora, hanggang dito sa Cagayan and Isabela, dahil po sa paglapit ni Bagyong Paeng at dun na rin sa trough na tinatawag,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estreja said.
