PAGASA Says ITCZ & LPA to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring rains and thunderstorms over some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (October 25, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been last spotted 920 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas at 3 am. The LPA was embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone, which will affect Palawan,Visayas, and Mindanao while the northeast monsoon will be affecting Northern Luzon.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The shear line will also bring similar weather condition over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quirino.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring same weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
