Teacher and Student Get Emotional During Touching Spoken Poetry
EMOTIONAL MOMENT – A female teacher hugged her college student after performing touching spoken poetry during class.
A Facebook user named Neljie Codino Moniva has shared heartwarming photos of an emotional moment between a teacher and a student. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media.
A 21-year-old student identified as Mary Cris Pekitpekit, of Tuburan, Cebu goes viral online after having an emotional moment with her teacher named Pamela Tulod Brigoli. The photos were taken last Monday, October 17, 2022.
Pekitpekit’s spoken poetry performance touched the teacher during their Filipino class. The lady student performed a heartfelt poem about what it was like losing her father. She also dedicates the poem as a tribute to her late dad.
“I felt satisfaction in my chest and, of course, I felt happy when she hugged me. I didn’t expect that to happen, because I’m just a simple person who dreams of graduating from college,” Pekitpekit said.
The female professor gave her a hug after the performance, which caused the entire class to get emotional. Brigoli’s action just proves that teachers really stand as the second parents of the students.
According to Moniva, Brigoli instructed them to perform spoken poetry based on their chosen topic.

Hello Pa, kumusta ka na?
Matagal tagal na rin nung huli kitang makita
Nung huling makausap
Nung huling magkasama
Nung huli kitang mayakap
Alam mo ba Pa, sabay nating pinagplanuhan

Sobrang saya ng pamilya natin
Na kahit mahirap, basta magkakasama tayo
Naalala mo pa ba, nung kinukwento mo sa akin yung love story
Love story niyo ni Mama
Nung kinukwento mo yun tuwang-tuwa ka
