Netizen Exposes an Alleged Holdupper Pretending as Delivery Rider
A netizen exposed a snippet of an alleged holdupper who pretended to a be delivery rider elicited reactions on social media.
On Facebook, a user of the internet warned other users to be on the lookout for the holduppers’ new modus operandi. A screenshot from a CCTV image taken at a business was uploaded by concerned internet user Stiffany Ann Domalanta Tolentino.
A man can be caught attempting to shoplift while posing as a delivery rider. Stiffany claims that the robbery attempt had taken place in Cabangan, Zambales’ Barangay Banuanbayo.
“Baka daw po may kumatok sa mga bahay bahay niyo at nagpapanggap na Shopee, wag niyo po agad pagbubuksan. Eto po bago nilang modus ngayon,” said Tolentino.
“Kanina lang po yan tanghali sa barangay banuanbayo. maging alerto po tayong lahat lalo na yung may mga tindahan,” she added.
The suspect has been apprehended, and the Cabangan Municipal Police Station reports that he is being charged with attempted robbery. According to the report, the victim went to the Cabangan MPS station, which led to the arrest.
The victim claims that at around 11:50 in the morning, a man deposited P20,000.00 into her G-Cash Account, and when she asked for the money before transferring it, he abruptly announced a hold-up. When the victim began to scream, the suspect fled.
The Cabangan MPS team, under the direction of PLT Anthony A. Soria, OIC, promptly launched a rapid pursuit operation to find him in Iba, Zambales. The suspect is being held at the police station and is accused of attempting to rob someone.
