Passenger Shoots Habal-Habal Rider to Steal his Motorcycle
PASIG CITY – A habal-habal rider passed away after he was shot by his passenger and the suspect even steals his motorcycle.
A 59-year-old construction worker died after he was killed by one of his passengers in Pasig City. The suspect involved in “Agaw-motorsiklo” modus immediately run away after committing the crime.
In the CCTV footage, it can be seen that the habal-habal rider fall to the ground after he was shot by his passenger. The gunman stole the motorcycle after shooting the victim and run away from the crime scene.
The police authorities were able to trace the stolen motorcycle in Taguig City after conducting backtracking. The cops were able to locate and arrest the gunman identified as Rocky Manuel and two other suspects Russel Manuel and Ernest Osmeña who stole the vehicle.
Police Lieutenant Jason Lovendino said that the construction worker borrow the motorcycle from his son to earn money for his family.
“Nagtatrabaho po ito sa construction. And then noong wala po siyang trabaho, hiniram po niya sa anak niya itong motor. Kailangan daw po niya maghanap-buhay para mag habal-habal po,” Lovendino said.
Lovendino reported that the gunman had been already involved in several cases including stealing motorcycles and illegal drugs. The suspect has been also facing drug-related charges.

The culprits refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
