SSS CALAMITY LOAN – The Social Security System is offering a calamity loan for members in areas declared under a state of calamity.

Super typhoon Karding left a lot of families homeless following the strong winds and heavy rains that destroyed their houses. Many Filipinos are now living in evacuation centers following the typhoon. Recently, the Social Security System, a state-run social insurance institution for workers in the private sector, announced that a program that will provide an SSS Calamity Loan for the members who are in Karding-hit areas will be opened. Based on a report on GMA News, SSS president and CEO Michael Regino said that the program is the Calamity Loan Assistance Program or CLAP. Those members who are living in areas declared under a state of calamity by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) may apply for a loan through My.SSS Portal.

2. Look for the “Not yet registered in My.SSS?” and click on the box under it.

3. Choose from the following one information that you have reported to the SSS for the registration – Mobile Number, UMID Card, Employer ID Number, Savings Account Number, UBP Quick Card, Citibank Cash Card, UMID-ATM Saving Account Number, or Payment Reference Number.

4. Provide the necessary information that is requested to submit your application for the SSS online member registration.
