Class Suspensions for Wednesday (September 28, 2022) Due to Effects of Karding

WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions in several areas due to effects of Typhoon Karding.

A few days ago, Typhoon Karding lashes the country with strong winds and heavy rains. The inclement weather condition causes flooding and landslides over some parts of the country, which displaced numerous residents.

The typhoon leaves the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday evening (September 28, 2022). However, the effects of Typhoon Karding cause damage in several provinces and inconvenience to affected residents.

Class Suspensions

On Wednesday (September 28, 2022), the local government unit of Nueva Ecija declared the suspension of classes. The class suspensions cover all levels in both public and private schools in the province.

Governor Aurelio Umali made the announcement due to the power outage in most of the towns. Umali explained that the clearing operations in the affected areas are still ongoing. The province also declared a “State of Calamity” due to Typhoon Karding.

“Hindi pa rin ganap na naibabalik ang supply ng kuryente sa maraming bahagi ng ating lalawigan,” Umali said.

Cabanatuan City also declared the cancellation of classes at all levels in both public and private schools.

Last Monday, most schools and government offices in Luzon declared the cancellation of work and classes due to the inclement weather condition.
