Rizal Town Officials Have Turned Confiscated Mufflers Into Christmas Lantern, Netizens Reacts

Several Rizal town officials have turned the open mufflers confiscated from Angono, Rizal into a Christmas lantern.

Over the past few years, the Land Transportation Office and numerous towns in the country have been implementing stricter rules and regulations when it comes to the usage of open mufflers.

The government prohibits motorists from using open pipes, which causes disturbance to the surroundings. Traffic enforcers usually issue a violation ticket or even confiscate open mufflers.

Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon has shared the photos of confiscated open mufflers from Angono, Rizal, which were turned into a Christmas lantern. The photo immediately spread like a wildfire online and elicits comments from the netizens.

In the photo, It can be seen that some traffic enforcers happily strike a pose on the camera while flexing the lantern made from confiscated mufflers. The lantern was still in process and need to undergo modification to enhance its appearance.

Public Safety Office head Kuya Bryan Villamarin Cruz made the project with the help of several traffic officials in the town. The city implements an ordinance prohibiting the usage of open mufflers within the town.
