Video of Rider Cutting Muffler of His 700cc Bike as Ordered by Traffic Personnel Goes Viral Online
A traffic personnel earned criticisms from the netizens after allegedly instructing a rider to cut the muffler of his 700cc bike for being noisy.
Nowadays, the Land Transportation Officer, national government and local government units prohibit motorcycle riders to use open or loud pipe along road. Violators could face corresponding sanctions and penalties.
Authorities usually issue a violation ticket or confiscate open mufflers. However, it may vary depending on the motorcycle’s power.
A Facebook user named Febrile Laudato has shared the video footage of a motorcycle rider cutting the muffler of his 700cc motorcycle as ordered by a road officer. The post garnered various reactions from the social media users.
In the video, it can be seen that the disappointed rider is using a saw to cut the muffler of his big bike. The traffic personnel allegedly ordered him to cut it for being noisy and not even using a decibel meter for measurement.
The motorist seems to be frustrated and disappointed while cutting his own muffler against his will. The photo also shows several pieces of muffler inside a vehicle, which were confiscated from motorcycle riders.
