The video footage of the loudest pipe competition goes viral online and elicits negative reactions from the netizens.
The Philippine authorities and several local government units are prohibiting the motorcycle riders to use open or loud muffler. Usage of loud muffler produces noise pollution, which is considered by some citizens as annoying.
The Land Transportation Office and LGUs set a certain level of decibels for modified mufflers. Exceeding the limit will be subject for corresponding sanctions and penalties.
The Facebook page “Marino Motovlog” has shared the video footage of loudest pipe competition at a motorcycle show event. The video immediately spread like a wildfire online and garnered different reactions from the social media users.
In the video, it can be seen that the motorcycle owner are setting and preparing their beloved bikes with modified mufflers. After a few moments, the riders have started to rev their bikes to check the sound of their pipes.
The owners have started the battle by producing the loudest noise they could make. Some of them even lift their motorcycles and bring it near to their rival to show off. The tension rises and the next scenes seem to be chaotic.
It can be noticed that the participants and audience violate the quarantine guidelines and health safety protocols during the event. Many attendees do not wear their face masks and failed to observe physical distancing measures.
