Sharon Cuneta tried to reconcile with Helen Gamboa
Veteran entertainment reporter Cristy Fermin shared that Megastar Sharon Cuneta apologized to her aunt veteran actress Helen Gamboa.
A conflict happened between Sharon and Helen during the election season. Helen’s husband Senator Tito Sotto ran for vice president. Days after Tito Sen filed his certificate of candidacy, Sharon’s husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan also filed his COC for the same position.
Helen’s daughter Ciara Sotto, Sharon’s cousin, was so vocal about her emotions after knowing that the husband of her cousin was also running against her dad. The Megastar was also expressive about the sadness that she felt because of this situation.
However, Sharon Cuneta was still hopeful that everything will be alright between them. Apparently, the Megastar has started reaching out to her aunt, based on the recent statement of Cristy Fermin on the June 9 episode of her YouTube talk show Showbiz Now Na.
Cristy shared that her source revealed that Sharon sent a message to Helen. It was a sort of letter of apology. However, the showbiz reporter said that there was no direct “I apologize” statement, instead, reportedly, Sharon asked, “Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?”
“May explanation pero wala yung panghihingi ng tawad talaga na malalim,” Cristy shared. The reporter said that it is just right that the reconciliation process will start with Sharon because of Helen’s seniority and the reason why the conflict happened.
Cristy also revealed that Helen did not answer the message of Sharon. The showbiz reporter even shared that during Susan Roces’s wake, Helen Gamboa stressed that she will not say anything about this issue.
“’Wala silang maririnig sa akin, hanggang sa kamatayan ko, wala akong sasabihin,’” Cristy shared what Helen said. The showbiz reporter added that what Sharon Cuneta did was right but it she thinks that it is not the right timing yet.
