GradeĀ 11 Student Selling Taho Before Class Goes Viral & Earns Admiration Online

A grade 11 student earned praises from the online community for selling taho before attending his classes.

A Facebook user named Jhap Tarog has shared the video footage of a grade 11 student who sells ā€œTahoā€ before attending his class at school. The video immediately spread like a wildfire online after it was posted on social media.

In the video, it can be seen that the senior high school student is carrying two pales containing ā€˜tahoā€™, syrup, and sago. He is enduring the hardships of working and studying at the same time to support his study.

The young man identified as Gurprit Paris D. Singh or also known as ā€œGopiā€ was born in Cebu City on December 10, 2005. Gopiā€™s mom is a pure Filipino while his father is an Indian national.

Gurprit and his mother arrived in Cavite last 2018. He grew up in Cebu City and dreamed to be a Civil Engineer someday. He is studying at Tanza National Comprehensive – Senior High School taking STEM.

The hardworking student wakes up early in the morning to prepare his products before selling them to his fellow villagers. He is also selling taho at school and enduring the hardship of his job.

The latter is earning around P400-P600 per day and explained he does not need to be ashamed of being a vendor.

“There is nothing to be ashamed of sa ginagawa ko. I am doing an honest job without harming anybody else. My parents, teacher, and classmates are very supportive,” Gopi said.
