Maricel Soriano is set to return to the small screen
Diamond Star Maricel Soriano has an upcoming TV series after over a year since her last teleserye ended.
Maricel started as a child star in showbiz. Eventually, she became one of the teen idols during her time and evolved into a drama actress. With her years in the entertainment industry, she has already played various roles in movies and TV series.
Aside from being a good actress, her staying power in showbiz is something that the younger generation should follow as well.
The last TV project that she did was the series Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin with Iza Calzado, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Sam Milby. This aired from August 2020 to March 2021.
In a recent Twitter post, Maricel Soriano shared that she has an ABS-CBN series, based on the article in Inquirer. The Diamond Star thanked the executives and creatives at Dreamscape Entertainment which is the production company behind the longest-running teleserye Ang Probinsyano and the much-talked-about The Broken Marriage Vow.
Maricel also shared her photos with directors Manny Palo and Jojo Saguin. Apparently, these two directors will be part of her upcoming project. As of this writing, details about this new series of the Diamond Star are yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, the seasoned actress is known for her famous “sampal”. There are quite a lot of younger artists who dreamed to experience a slap from her during an intense acting scene.

A-list actors Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual had a memorable experience when it comes to the Diamond Star’s “sampal.” Soap Opera Queen Judy Ann Santos can’t forget as well the scene she did with Maricel Soriano with the latter’s famous slap.
