Ogie Diaz on Willie’s Message to ALLTV Critics: ‘May himig panunumbat’

Ogie Diaz reacted to Willie Revillame’s statement

Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz said the message that veteran TV host Willie Revillame gave to the critics of ALLTV sounded like a “sumbat.”

To recall, Ogie gave an honest opinion on the song and dance performance of Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga during the new network’s soft launch. He specifically mentioned the audio or the sound system.

That statement of the talent manager received bashing. He stressed that it was constructive criticism and acknowledges the fact that Manny Villar’s TV network is just starting.

Following the comments online regarding the ALLTV soft launching, Kuya Wil addressed the critics. He said through his program Wowowin, people tend to notice other people’s shortcomings without thinking about their own mistakes.

The veteran host also said, “Isipin mo yung ilang taong tinulangan ng station na ito.” With this, there were netizens who thought that Ogie Diaz was one of the people being addressed by Kuya Wil.

In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of Ogie, he reacted to what Willie said. Before doing his “himay-himay” answer to the statement of the veteran host, the talent manager said, “I love you Kuya Wil.”

However, Ogie stressed that at times like this, Willie should listen to the comments from the viewers. He also said that it is just right to make “puna” of the negative things because it is unusual to do this for positive things.

Ogie pointed out that if it deserves to be praised, then it will be praised. He added that if ALLTV’s audio or sound system was good, he will also praise it. Since Willie has been in the industry for many years now, Ogie said that he should have known this aspect.

Regarding Willie’s statement that critics should focus on the people who now have a job after ALLTV’s launch, Ogie said that it is beyond the point. The talent manager explained that the production value is the one being questioned and not the ability of the network to provide jobs for the people.

“Kung lagi nating sinasabi na yung may mga tao tayong tinutulungan dito sa istasyon na ‘to, panunumbat yun,” Ogie Siaz said. “Parang may himig panunumbat,” he added.
