High School Teacher Caught on Camera Kicking Student in Cagayan de Oro
CAGAYAN DE ORO – A female high school teacher has been caught on camera kicking her student in Cagayan de Oro.
School teacher is personnel hired by both government and private schools to help students to acquire academic knowledge. They are also considered the second parent of the students inside the school premises.
Educators are tasked to teach and mold students to become better people in the future. Teachers were also assigned to help the students obtain knowledge and be competent employees in the future.
In the video, it can be seen that a group of students in Bayabas National High School was hanging out in the hallway when a lady teacher scolded a male student and suddenly kicked him.
According to Bayabas National High School head Manuel Lincaro Jr., the teacher assumed that the student is bullying her. The school management has already discussed the issue with the teacher and the student’s parents.
“May mga bata na talagang sila pa ang nangbu-bully sa kanilang mga guro. So, ang feeling ng guro na siya ang binu-bully kaya na-recall niya ang mga batang ito,” Lincaro said.
The student’s parents did not file a complaint against the teacher. The school management did not suspend the educator.
However, the Department of Education in Cagayan de Oro reminded the teachers that hurting students verbally and physically is strictly prohibited. The agency advised the teachers to observe maximum tolerance at all times.
