Taguig City RTC orders arrest of Vhong Navarro for another case.
VHONG NAVARRO – Its Showtime host Vhong Navarro faces another case from Taguig City Regional Trial Court, not bailable.
In a previous article, actor and Kapamilya host Vhong Navarro faced an arrest warrant issued by Taguig Metropolitan Court for acts of lasciviousness. This is with regard to the case filed by model Deniece Cornejo and associated completely with what happened in 2014.
He voluntarily surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation and posted bail in the amount of Php 36,000.00. To recall, in 2014, people were shocked to see the actor deeply hurt physically. He was mauled by the group of the model.
But in the past years, the Department of Justice (DOJ) trashed the cases filed by Cornejo due to a lack of probable cause and inconsistencies in her claims.
The actor already posted bail but this September 19, another warrant of arrest was issued by Taguig Regional Court Branch 69 against the actor for r%pe. He is currently detained at the NBI because the second warrant has no recommended bail.
Judge Loralie C. Datahan of Taguig-RTC Branch 69 signed the arrest of the actor under Article 266-A (1) of the RPC as amended by R. A. 8353. It stated that this is not available.
Meanwhile, the resurrection of the case got the actor dismayed and he did not hide what he felt. The resurrection came eight years after, at the time when they thought that these are all resolved and will soon be over.
He also won’t issue a public apology because it will just be the same as admitting the crime he never did. Previously, he stressed his innocence but he admitted his infidelity back then.
