Piolo Pascual is a proud dad
A-list actor Piolo Pascual shared his thoughts on his son Iñigo Pascual‘s Hollywood stint as he became part of the series Monarch.
Piolo has established his name in the Philippine entertainment industry as one of the most sought-after actors. When Iñigo entered showbiz, he was able to go away from the shadow of his famous father.
The younger Pascual paved his own way to stardom as an actor and as a singer. When it comes to his music, he already did some international stints. Being part of a series with acclaimed actress Susan Sarandon is a big break for him.
Iñigo previously shared that he is honored to be part of this project and he hopes that this will open more doors for Filipinos to have international stints as well.
As a father, Piolo Pascual is indeed proud of his son’s achievements, based on the article in Inquirer. “They filmed it for a year. Hopefully, it becomes well-received so they can still make Season 2. He’s been auditioning for a lot of international productions. I claim it—we both do—that he’s going to have a good career in Hollywood. ‘Monarch’ is his first big break. He’s lucky that at his age, he gets to do this role. I hope he lands more Hollywood gigs in the coming year,” the A-list actor said.
Meanwhile, Piolo is having a US and Canada Tour with his fellow former The Hunks member Jericho Rosales. Last July, he and Sam Milby also did a US Tour. Piolo said that performing in front of a live audience brings him a certain excitement that can’t be achieved by acting in front of a camera.
“The reaction is instantaneous,” he said about having a live audience. Currently, his series Flower of Evil is still airing and it is airing its last four weeks. He shared that he enjoys watching the series as much as he loves filming it.
Following this acting project in a series, Piolo Pascual will go back to shooting for the second season of the sitcom May Papa Pi. Next year, he will do another series.
