OVP Spox Slams Fake News on VP Sara Daily Use of Chopper

OVP Spox Debunks Fake News Claiming VP Sara is Always Using Chopper

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) spox debunked the fake news claiming that Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio is always using the presidential chopper.

In an interview, the vice presidential spokesperson Atty. Reynold Munsayac refuted rumors spreading on social media that Vice President Duterte takes a helicopter to get to Davao every day. Munsayac claims that VP Sara and his family are currently based in Manila.

Munsayac continued that the children of Duterte are also enrolled in school in Manila. Duterte employs land vehicles on a daily basis, according to Munsayac, and only uses helicopters when absolutely necessary for official tasks and events, which would depend on the destination and the urgency of the schedule.

The spokesperson added that she would supposedly ride aboard if it was found that a helicopter could fly from Manila to Davao. The OVP confirmed that given VP Sara’s background in public service, everyone who has dealt with her is aware of her high level of efficiency and commitment to safeguarding government assets at all times.

On Tuesday, September 13, when Duterte wished President Bongbong Marcos a happy birthday, the story of the helicopter first surfaced. It received a range of responses from online users.
