This year, the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) returned to theaters two years after dealing with the effects of the pandemic in the movie industry. And in the past two years, moviegoers have missed the movies of Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.
To recall, the previous MMFF movies of the comedian were all blockbuster hits.
And for this year, the first four official entries to the film festival have been announced and they are the following:
- Labyu with an Accent
starring Coco Martin and Jodi Sta Maria - Nanahimik ang Gabi
starring Ian Veneracion, Mon Confiado, and Heaven Peralejo - Partners in Crime
starring Vice Ganda and Ivana Alawi - The Teacher
starring Joey de Leon and Toni Gonzaga
Returning this year on the silver screen is the superstar comedian partnering with the country’s top content creator and Kapamilya actress Ivana. And as they are bound to bring entertainment to the moviegoers this Christmas season, Vice has given himself an assignment.
In a press conference last Friday, the superstar expressed based on a report from ABS-CBN, “Hinahanap na rin kasi ng katawan ko, ng sistema ko. Dati ang assignment ko patawanin ‘yung mga pamilya ‘pag Pasko. Ngayon, ang assignment ko naman ay ‘yung pabalikin sila sa sinehan ngayong Pasko.”
He assigned himself to encourage the people with their families to go back to cinemas and watch together.
Meanwhile, he also expressed his excitement and great anticipation of making this film for the people. He heard the people asking him to go back to making movies for the Holiday season and this 2022, he obliged.
This will be the first time for Ivana and Vice to work together in a film that will be shown on December 25, the birthday of the vlogger actress.
