Billy Crawford is embracing her role as a husband and a father despite hardships
Singer-host Billy Crawford shared how he and his wife Coleen Garcia dealt with family issues, especially during the first stages of the pandemic.
Billy and Coleen tied the knot in 2018. Two years after that, they welcomed their bundle of joy. They named their son Amari. During the pandemic, as a new family and new parents, Billy said that it was inevitable the issues arose.
During a recent interview for his new Kapuso show The Wall Philippines, based on the article in Inquirer, the singer-host said that through conversations, he and Coleen were able to sort things out amid difficulties brought by the lockdown.
“If you’re stuck in one house, it’s inevitable for some issues to pop out. But it’s about how you handle them,” he said, adding that communication is key in any relationship,” Billy Crawford said.
He also said that they have learned to deal with this kind of situation. By talking to each other, they were able to find solutions to their problems. “She knows what’s happening in my life and vice versa,” the singer-host added.
In the same interview, Billy said that before settling down and having his own family, he was just thinking of himself. However, when Coleen and Amari came, he is now working for the happiness of his family.
His wife and his son are his sources of joy and inspiration. Even though there are obstacles along the way, Billy is optimistic that things will be fine. “Una ang Diyos sa ‘min. And then it’s the family. I would be lying if I say we don’t have problems, because everyone goes through struggles. Some of them we can handle by ourselves. But sometimes we have to seek help. We’re normal people,” he said.
The singer-host also expressed happiness that his son can now see the outside world as restrictions eased up. Since Amari was born in 2020, he was not able to go outside the house for a long time. Billy Crawford shared that for a time, he and Coleen Garcia felt sad for their baby because he can’t explore around.
Right now, Billy is bringing his son to work and the little boy is enjoying it. “Aagawan pa ata ako ng trabaho ng anak ko!” the singer-host enthused.
