Last November 2021, actress Janella Salvador was flooded with congratulatory messages for bagging the iconic role of “Valentina” in the Darna TV Series. This also proved that her career did not come to an end after giving birth. To recall, her critics assumed that she won’t be having any projects anymore after becoming a mother.
Valentina’s alter ego is Regina Vanguardia, which means that Janella is juggling two roles – the villain and the human form of the villain. And since the announcement of being this generation’s Valentina, many looked forward to her and her initial debut as the powerful villain even trended online.
The viewers thought that she was perfect for the character and that she has flawlessly portrayed it. As much as many are aware, this is the first villain role she, away from the good characters she used to play.
And according to Janella, among the people who pushed her and supported her to get the role is Maja Salvador. Ever since the audition, the older actress has been so supportive of her accordingly.
Janella revealed that she was also among the first people she has told about this. The Valentina actress expressed, “Sobrang supportive siya tapos after ng audition nag-send pa ako ng picture …kasi kinakabahan ako tapos ‘yung push, push, push lang siya the whole time.”
And she added that she was one of the most caring persons she has ever known based on a report from ABS-CBN.
Way back in 2019, the two Salvadors worked in the drama series “The Killer Bride”. Janella, apart from this series, has starred in other projects like Be Careful With My Heart, Oh My G!, and Born For You.
