Darna Trailer Teases a Glimpse of Janella Salvador As Valentina
DARNA – “Mars Ravelo’s Darna” recently shared a glimpse of the snake-haired form of Valentina, portrayed by Kapamilya star Janella Salvador.
Janella Salvador is the daughter of singer-songwriter Juan Miguel Salvador and actress-singer Jenine Desiderio. She’s a well-known actress, singer, and endorser in the Philippines.
Her official acting debut came in 2012 through Kapamilya’s daytime drama, “Be Careful With My Heart.” She is set to embrace a darker role in the upcoming series, alongside Jane de Leon as ‘Darna’.
Back in November last year, Janella Salvador was revealed to play Valentina. She and Jane de Leon will be appearing in the tv series alongside fellow cast members Zaijian Jaranilla (Ding, Narda’s brother), Joshua Garcia (Jane’s love interest Brian), and Iza Calzado (Leonor, the first Darna), among others.
The full trailer of the new Kapamilya series was released earlier this month. It showed Narda’s superhero journey and her reluctance to fulfill her destiny of becoming Darna. The program will replace by Coco Martin’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano which will end its seven-year run until August 12.

On Friday, ‘Darna’ shared a glimpse of the snake-haired form of Valentina. The new trailer briefly showed the transformation of the villain into her serpent queen alter ego. Valentina’s shadow cast on the wall and her snake hair.
“Darna” started taping in November 2021. It is set to start airing in August. 15. The show is directed by highly-acclaimed filmmaker Chito S. Roño with Benedict Mique and Avel Sunpongco. It will be broadcast on Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, Jeepney TV, iWantTFC, and TFC.
