Police Authorities Arrest 2 Suspects for Stealing Internet Cables in Sampaloc, Manila

Two male suspects have been arrested by the police authorities for stealing internet cables worth P57, 000 in Sampaloc, Manila.

The police authorities confiscate worth P57, 000 of internet cables from two male suspects in Sampaloc, Manila. The cops were able to arrest the two suspects after the residents and barangay chairman reported the incident.

The CCTV footage installed at Iguelin Street in Barangay 475 captured two individuals pulling cable atop of a house. One of them was pulling cable at the roof while his colleague is assisting him.

Internet Cables

The residents immediately reported it to the barangay. The chairwoman also informed the Manila Police District (MPD) for immediate action. The authorities were able to locate and arrest the suspects.

The thieves have been identified as Tito Arce and Ali Andre Sarif. The police officers recover about 10 meters of internet cable, amounting to P57, 000. The suspects were burning the cables to get the copper and would sell it to the junkshop for P310 per kilo.

The culprits admitted the crime and explained that they will use the money to buy food after the fire burned their home. The two also pointed out another suspect identified as alias ‘Payat’ who was the first to perform the illegal activity.

The suspects were under the custody of MPD Station 4 and will face theft charges. The robbery incident happened a couple of times in Miguelin Street due to the lesser population in the area.
