3 Individuals Caught on Camera Picking Up Lost P484, 000
CCTV footage caught three individuals who picked up P484, 000 after it falls from a car in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
A car company manager identified as Manuel Balisi took his concern to social media after losing the firm’s income worth P484, 000. The incident happened around 10:40 pm on August 31, 2022 (Wednesday).
Balisi said that the company’s secretary placed the plastic bag containing the money at the dashboard. They were travelling along Barangay Carig Norte when the secretary noticed that the money went missing.
“Ewan ko kung paano nahulog dun sa kotse, siguro nakalagay sa dashboard ganun o ano, tapos open air,” Balisi said.
The company worker immediately reported the incident to the police authorities. The lost cash was the company’s sales during that day.
A CCTV footage from the barangay hall of Carig Norte shows a white van stopped in the area. Three individuals started to pick up the paper bills scattered along the road. As of this writing, no one returned the lost cash.
“Wala pa nga po. Hindi namin maano ‘yung sa CCTV kasi blurred. Kaya hindi namin alam kung paano marerekober. Problema namin paano na. Sigurado ipapabayad sa amin ‘yun,” Balisi added.
The firm also offers a cash reward to anyone who can return or give information to recover the money. Informants can contact 0953-2883-281 and 0917-1552-505 or Cagayan Provincial Information Office.
