Pimples, acne, and breakouts are normal. Apart from the eating habits, there are also several reasons why this happens to the face of many people. It is a skin condition that appears when the pores of the skin become blocked with oil, dead skin, or bacteria.
And just like many of us, Kapamilya actress Heaven Peralejo has also suffered the same. She can relate to the people who suffer from the same skin problem. She expressed in her post that acne is a condition that people should not be ashamed of.
Accordingly, she battled acne for many years and had a hard time accepting this reality, most especially when it got worse. Being in the industry that she is currently a part of, she is afraid of judgment. As much as many are aware, looks and appearance are essential to celebrities like her.
But she, later on, realized that it’s normal to have this. She expressed, “I am aware of my flaws and I embrace them. Never let anyone make you feel bad about yourself because of normal things!”
While the post seems sincere and reasonable, some netizens noticed a flaw in her post and it’s not in the content, it’s in her photo. In the photo she shared, she looked flawless. She doesn’t have acne but there are small dots on her face. The dots are very minimal that one can barely see them without zooming or not focusing on her photo.
Some netizens asked and commented. They wonder how the post can empower other people if she doesn’t have any visible acne. Without proof, her words are empty. Some called her “papansin” because of it and others find the post offensive for people who has severe acne.
