BOING REMULLA – Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla speaks about the recent kidnapping issues in various areas.
For the past months, the random killings and kidnapping of individuals that reached the headlines have caused fear in many people, most especially women. And of all these reported kidnapping cases, the biggest and most famous is the case of Jovelyn Galleno.
And since the world is becoming not a safe place for everyone, the public asked the government to act on it. On Wednesday, Department Of Justice (DOJ) Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla spoke about this and said that they will act on this random violence that is happening in different areas of the country.
“Basta mareport lang sa amin, we will do something about it saka basta mahuli, we will prosecute,” he said during a Kapihan sa Manila Bay forum. Such happenings also raised the alarm from the Commission On Human Rights (CHR).
He added that the National Bureau Of Investigation (NBI) is already aware of these incidents.
Remulla added based on a report from ABS-CBN News, “Things are being done right now to coordinate efforts to retrieve people who are missing. Yun naman ang SOP ng law enforcement e. The NBI and the police are there already. But we’ll have them give us an update.”
Other cases included a 15-year-old biker who was abducted and days after, found dead in Bulacan with bruises and cigarette burns. Another is the case of a 7-year-old girl who was found dead inside a sack and whose body wore no clothing when recovered.
