Police Authorities Arrest 2 Suspects for Attempting to Abduct Female Grade 10 Student in Las Piñas City
Two male suspects have been arrested for attempting to abduct a young lady in front of a pawn shop in Las Piñas City.
A 15-year-old girl identified as alias May narrated that she noticed a vehicle containing several men in front of a pawnshop in Marcos Alvarez Ave., Barangay Talon 5 in Las Piñas City. After a few moments, the suspects forced her to get inside the vehicle.
The kidnappers pulled the Grade 10 student and tried to place her inside the vehicle but the victim refused to do so. The suspects even threatened her “pumasok ka sa loob kun’di, babarilin kita”.
A concerned motorcycle rider witnessed the incident and went near the vehicle. The suspects immediately withdrew and escaped hearing to the direction of Moonwalk. The police authorities immediately launched a follow-up operation.
The cops were able to locate the abductors after they have traced the vehicle’s plate number. Eventually, suspects have been arrested during the series of follow-up operations.
The police officers recovered a bag containing a loaded .357 magnum revolver and a grenade. The cops are still trying to determine the motive of the culprits. The abductors will face charges of attempted abduction and violation of illegal possession of firearms and possession of explosives.
One of the suspects explained that they just want to get the money and cellphone from the victim while his companion had no idea regarding his colleague’s motive. “Hindi ko naman alam na ganoon ang gagawin niya—mang-hold-up, maghahanap ng bata,” the latter explained.
