DEREK RAMSAY – Ellen Adarna and Elias are the centers of Derek Ramsay’s focus now because he decided to semi-retire.
The era of Derek Ramsay as the country’s top leading man seemed to have passed already and he is very well aware of this. He is open-minded and he knows that in show business, there will always be someone who can outdo someone and stand out. And in his case, he believes that his time as a leading man just passed by and new leading men have already risen.
It’s been a long time since people have seen him on television and now, with many artists continuing to rise, he decided to step back and semi-retire. From now on, he will be focusing more on his family – his wife Ellen Adarna and sons Elias and Austin.
The pandemic has brought him a lot of realizations and one of them is to spend more time with his loved ones. He enjoys being with his family but being semi-retired means he’s not fully closing his doors to making more projects.
He expressed that once he’s offered to do a good one and a project that fits his taste, he will definitely do it.

Meanwhile, Elias is Derek’s stepson with Adarna. Elias is his wife’s son with actor John Lloyd Cruz. Austin, on the other hand, is his son with a previous partner. Their set-up as a family is unconventional but what matters most to him is that they remain intact and he is really enjoying his time with them.
