Is there a conflict between Pops Fernandez and Zia Quizon?
Speculations surfaced that there is a conflict between Concert Queen Pops Fernandez and recording artist Zia Quizon.
Zia is the ex-girlfriend of Pops’s son Robin Nievera. Although the former couple broke up, they remained friends. Last year, Zia even greeted Robin on his birthday. She shared a photo of them together with the caption: “Break na tayo pero friends forever.”
Just recently, Zia shared that she tied the knot with her husband Aleska Rahul in Serbia. Her social media post garnered congratulatory messages from many celebrities. Concert King Martin Nievera was one of the celebrities who congratulated Zia Quizon and she replied to this with emojis.
Zia also replied to almost all who congratulated her, however, based on the article in PEP, the recording artist did not reply to the comment from Pops Fernandez which was three red heart emojis. With this, people speculated that there is a rift between them.
In a recent interview, the Concert Queen was asked about this. “I will not take that in a bad way. Baka na-miss-out lang niya yun. But as far as I know, we’re very okay,” Pops said. The mother of two also shared that it has been a long time since her last conversation with Zia but there is no need to put “intriga” on this.
Pops also said that with so many people who commented on the post of Zia, perhaps the ex-girlfriend of her son did not notice her comment. “So, you know, at the end of the day, things happen for a reason and sometimes they happen for a better reason. So, baka naman…..no. Not baka. That is, kumbaga, yun yung life niya doon,” the seasoned singer said.
On the other hand, Pops Fernandez said that she has no “panghihinayang” when Robin Nievera and Zia Quizon did not end up together. She said that the daughter of the late Comedy King Dolphy and Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla is sweet and a nice girl. “I love Zia,” she said.
However, she is not meddling with what Zia and Robin had when they were together until they broke up. “Siyempre, as a parent, as a mom, we have to respect their decision. I know that they’re still good friends,” she said. The Concert Queen attested that the former couple still communicates with each other and this is something good.
