ABRA EARTHQUAKE – The actual devastation of the powerful earthquake at a supermarket in La Trinidad, Benguet has been caught on CCTV.

The magnitude 7.3 quake in Abra has been recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology on Wednesday (July 27). The powerful tremor causes damage to numerous houses and establishments in the province.

The quake has been also felt in Metro Manila and its nearby provinces. Several aftershocks have been experienced following the major tremor.

A Facebook user named Junior Salaysay has shared the video footage of the powerful tremor devastating a supermarket in Benguet. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.

The manager of a supermarket in Barangay Pico in La Trinidad, Benguet released the CCTV footage of the earthquake’s devastation inside the establishment around 8:44 am on Wednesday. The quake violently shook the shelves.

Numerous grocery items fell to the ground as the shaking continued. The latter said that it was the most powerful quake he ever experienced in his entire life. The store manager said that the building suffered no damage but fragile products broke and scattered inside the store.

“Sa building, wala namang napinsala, ‘yung mga paninda lang po ang na-damage lalo na ‘yung mga babasagin tulad ng mga alak, spread, at ibang mga item na nasa bottle,” Salaysay said.

Salaysay immediately cleans the mess and arrange the store after the incident. The operation resumed a few hours after the quake.
