Sandro Marcos is undeniably one of the youngest representatives in the House. He is only 28 years old and it is his first time running for a seat in Congress. Despite being a neophyte, he is now on for bigger roles after he was elected as senior deputy majority leader.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the position of the younger Marcos in the House will give him jurisdiction over the House rules, the procedure regarding the inquiries in the aid of legislation, the procedure in impeachment proceedings, calendar business, order of business, committee reports, speeches, referral bills, and a lot more.

The 30-man panel will be led by the Majority Leader. The Deputy Majority Leaders will be the vice chairpersons while the Minority Leader and the Deputy Minority Leaders will serve as members.

Prior to the 1st State of the Nation Address (SONA) of Pres. Bongbong Marcos, his cousin, Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, was elected as speaker of the House. He was the majority leader when Sandro Marcos worked in his office.
