The car driver who refused to give way to a counterflowing VIP motorcade finally breaks silence after video goes viral.
Previously, the video footage of a car driver who refused to give way to a counterflowing VIP motorcade immediately goes viral on social media and garnered various reactions from the netizens.
The car driver refused to give way to a marshal and VIP personnel carried by a black SUV. The latter scolded and lectured the personalities behind the unauthorized VIP motorcade.
The driver also criticized the motorcade for violating the traffic rules and regulations. The personalities who participated in the motorcade retreat leave the lane after realizing their mistake.
A person from the VIP motorcade allegedly asked the driver to delete the video. However, the latter refused to delete the footage and even wonders how the person learned his address.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) summoned the driver named Miguel Dindore to give a statement regarding the incident. The authorities learned that the VIP security was escorting the former mayor of Cavite.
The Highway Patrol Group also revealed that the VIP security is not a member of HPG. The agency is also planning to file charges against the marshal for using an HPG sticker.
HPG will also report the alleged VIP to LTO. The agency wants to issue a show cause order against the suspect.
“Pinag-aaralan na rin ng HPG ang pagsampa ng kaso laban sa naturang rider sa kaniyang paglabag sa Article 177 at 179 ng Revised Penal Code kung saan ipinagbabawal ang “usurpation of official function” at ang paggamit ng anumang logo o insignia ng walang pahintulot,” HPG says.
