Barbie Imperial gamely took a “shot” from a stranger
Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial reacted to her viral video showing that she accepted the liquor that was offered to her by a man during a campaign motorcade.
Barbie is supporting the WiFi Partylist and she joined the motorcade in Pasig City last May 1. A Facebook user Pax Reyes shared a video showing that the Kapamilya star took the drink that was on a shot glass and a chaser that was placed in a noodle cup from a male resident.
The netizen wrote this in caption, “Okay barbie tagay ka muna..” It can be heard in the video that the crowd was shouting “Shot puno!” This video went viral as it has over seven million views as of this writing.
Barbie Imperial was asked about this “tagay” video that went viral in a recent Showbiz Update vlog of comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz. She revealed that she did not expect that someone was taking a video of her doing that.
As she came from the province, Barbie said that she is not new to this kind of situation. “Sa probinsya talaga, pag dadaan ka (during fiesta) tatagay ka talaga pag binigyan ka ng tagay,” she said.
The actress also said that there she did not feel “pandidiri” at all even though she had no idea where or from whom the shot glass came. “Siguro yung life ko po before, before ako maging artista parang ganun din sa mga fiesta, so parang hindi naman po siya nakakadiri sa akin,” she said.
Barbie Imperial also said that if she would accept drinks in bars if there is one who would offer, then, she would gladly accept a “tagay” from a supporter.
