2 Individuals Arrested by QCPD Over“Pambubudol” Scheme in Quezon City

QUEZON CITY, MANILA – QCPD arrested two individuals who were using “Pambubudol” scheme to lure their victims into Quezon City.

QCPD Station 16 personnel arrested male and female suspects who were involved in the “Pambubudol” scheme. The suspects performed their illegal activity in front of a mall Brgy. Pasong Putik in Quezon City.

According to PNP, the tandem’s modus starts when the male suspect seeks help from the target victim. The culprit will ask for the victim’s assistance after claiming that his truck containing perishable goods got broke.

The male suspect will offer P500 for the victim’s assistance and the lady culprit will refer an establishment renting a truck. The scammer will ask the victim to attend to his bag that allegedly contains P15, 000.

The scam suspect also asked the victim to give his mobile phone as collateral before leaving the area. After a few moments, the victim decided to open the bag and realized that he was scammed after he discovered that the bag only contains papers and napkins.

The victim seeks help from the police officers roaming in the area. The cops were able to corner and arrest the scammers. The suspects also admitted the crime and explained that they just need money.

Nakokonsensiya din po ako sir, eh wala talagang pera e,” the suspect said.

The scammers were currently detained at Pasong Putik Police Station and will face charges of swindling.

“Pag nag-offer sa kanila ng pera lalo na may kalakihan yung pera mag-isip isip sila para hindi sila mabiktima ng mga budol-budol na nambibiktima dito sa area ng Quezon City,” QCPD PS16 Station Commander P/Lt Colonel Vicenta Bumalay said.
