Kris Aquino Fans Slams “Cory” Scene in ‘Maid in Malacañang’

The “Cory” scene in the movie Maid in Malacanang did not sit well with the fans of Queen of all Media Kris Aquino.

For more than three decades, the issue between the Marcoses and the Aquinos has become a hot political topic in the Philippines. Filipinos always have polarizing comments on this.

This year, the Marcoses returned to Malacanang. After the election, a movie that will tell their side of the story was created. Viva Films and Vincentiments released the official trailer of the movie just recently and this created hype on social media.

Pro-Marcoses are loving it and they are excited but for the pro-Aquinos, this is nothing but a way to change what they believe. In the official trailer, a scene showed a female character, apparently, former President Cory Aquino, the mother of Kris Aquino, had a phone call.

The character of Cory said, “Get them out of the Philippines.” This was contradicted by fans of the Queen of all Media. Kris Aquino World, the official Twitter fan site of the actress-host, shared a collage photo showing the “Cory” scene in the movie, the photo of Cecilia Munoz Palma, the first female Supreme Court Associate Justice, who told her story when she witnessed the said “phone conversation” that the former President had.

Palma said that Cory received a call from US Ambassador Bosworth who said that the Marcoses are ready to leave but they were asking to stay for at least two days in Paoay, his home in the North.

The former SC Associate Justice said that the reaction of the former President was, “Poor man, let us give him two days.” However, Palma said that they did not agree with that idea because they were thinking that former President Ferdinand Marcos will grab that opportunity to regroup his forces. “Cory then called Ambassador Bosworth to say that she could not grant the request. Marcos should just leave the country,” Palma shared.

Then, Ambassador Bosworth called Cory Aquino back to tell her that the Marcoses has left. The former President related the news to Palma and their companions. “She said it as if was the most ordinary thing. We all shouted jubilantly. Cory did not,” the former SC Associate Justice said. The fan account of Kris Aquino wrote this in the caption of the post: “FOR YOUR INFORMATION!!!”
