This is how Lorin Gutierrez handled negative comments about their reunion with their father in Istanbul.
LORIN GUTIERREZ – Ruffa Gutierrez’s daughter Lorin has this reply to the negative comments on her reunion with her father Yilmaz Bektas.
Yilmaz Bektas, a Turkish businessman is the father of Lorin and Venice, the two daughters of Binibining Pilipinas World 1993 and Second Runner-up to Miss World 1993 Ruffa Gutierrez. They just recently got reunited with their father and such a reunion was three years in the making and happened 15 years after.
Ruffa allowed her daughters to travel to Istanbul to meet their father. In a previous article, Ruffa shared that it took a long while before their reunion happened because of her fears and apprehensions. But she was glad everything happened previously although it took a long time.
And just recently, Lorin shared a vlog of their trip to Istanbul showing some of the highlights of their trip. This vlog of hers is accordingly the “most personal, private, and vulnerable she had on the internet”. This is a pretty big deal for her because it involves her father, a subject that they don’t usually talk about with people or on their social media.
While many praised them and expressed positive comments about this event in their lives, there were those who expressed negative comments. But Lorin had her way to handle them properly. In her video, she explained that it was not something so simple.
She used to shrug off negative comments and opinions but the moment they touch on topics about her family, that is where she is going to flinch. She’s aware of how public the split was between their parents which is why she’s sharing these kind of comments.
“But when it comes to this, especially like me seeing my family again, please, just be careful and be sensitive of what you do comment… Because this is possibly the most monumental moment of my life that I decided to vlog and share with the world. So, it’s a bit intimidating to put such a personal aspect of me out there,” she said.
