Motorcycle Driver Got Into Accident along Commonwealth Avenue

MOTORCYCLE – A two-wheeled vehicle hit the barrier in Commonwealth Avenue after the driver fell asleep while driving.

Every day, there are a lot of unfortunate incidents that take place in the different parts of the country and some of these are inevitable circumstances or those that are unforeseen and not planned. Some of these accidents have left people injured while others really cost lives.

Accidents may take place on the road, at sea, or in air. There are even roads that are considered “accident-prone” areas as many motorists got into accidents in the said parts thus drivers are reminded to slow down and be extra careful. These unforeseen circumstances may be triggered by different factors including the mental state of the drivers.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, several accidents have recently taken place along Commonwealth Avenue. According to a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcer, almost every week an accident took place because of an over-exhausted driver or a drunk one.

Recently, a motorcycle hit the barrier along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City. According to the report, the driver who is working as a security guard admitted that he fell asleep while driving thus he hit the barrier.

The motorcycle driver was identified as Regie Terante, a security guard in Cubao. According to him, he was on duty for 12 hours and was sleepy that he eventually fell asleep while driving home to Montalban, Rizal.

The driver obtained wounds on his arms and head from the accident. Based on the report, first aid was immediately applied to the wounded driver. MMDA is reminding motorists to not anymore force themselves to drive if they are sleepy or have drunk.
