PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (July 5)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low pressure area and intertropical convergence zone will bring overcast skies and scattered rains over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (July 5, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low pressure area and intertropical convergence zone will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been last spotted at 330 kilometers east of Juban in Sorsogon. The ITCZ will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

“Ito ay mababa ang tsansa na maging bagyo sa susunod na dalawa hanggang tatlong araw. Itong LPA ay nakapaloob sa ITCZ at itong ITCZ, naapektuhan [nito] ang Southern Luzon, Visayas hanggang sa Mindanao,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The ITCZ / LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms Visayas, Caraga, Bicol Region, Palawan, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be slight to moderate. Visayas and Mindanao will have a slight to moderate surrounding sea condition, according to the weather bureau.
