Motorcycle Rider Hits Policeman After Trying to Skip Checkpoint in Abra

BANGUED, ABRA – A motorcycle rider accidentally hits a policeman after trying to avoid a police checkpoint in Bangued, Abra.

Nowadays, the Philippine government is already implementing stricter rules and regulations to prevent the increasing cases of accidents in the country. However, accidents still happen due to hard-headed and reckless motorists violating the traffic policy.

The traffic authorities are conducting checkpoints to prevent criminals from entering or escaping a certain town and to prevent motorists without proper documents to drive. Both vehicle drivers and motorcycle riders are required to obey the traffic policies and traffic enforcers.

However, some motorists who have violations and no legal documents were avoiding checkpoints to avoid paying penalty fees.

Recently, a CCTV footage has caught a motorcycle rider who rammed a policeman while trying to avoid a police checkpoint. The desperate rider made a U-turn after he saw the police checkpoint nearby.

Unfortunately, another checkpoint personnel apprehended him before he made a U-turn. The violator accidentally collides with a police officer on the other side of the road. The suspect explained that he accidentally pull the throttle out of his desperation to escape.

According to the police investigation, the rider has no driver’s license and his motorcycle’s registration was expired. The latter will face multiple charges because of his irresponsible act.
