Imelda Marcos “Able To Walk, To Hear”, Netizens Say “Ikulong”

Imee Marcos says Imelda Marcos is suddenly healthy and netizens have these reactions.

IMELDA MARCOS – Former first lady Imelda Marcos is now “maliksing-maliksi” according to her daughter Imee Marcos.

In a previous article, Senator Imelda Marcos said that her mother, following the victory of her brother Bongbong Marcos as the 17th president of the Philippines, suddenly became healthy. Her statement was:

“Siyempre ang nanay ko sobrang excited niya at tuwang-tuwa siya sa mga pangyayari. Suddenly able to hear, to walk, lahat ng sakit-sakit [inaudible]… Lahat ng nararamdaman biglang nawala, malisking-maliksi at parang ‘di na siya 92 kundi 29.”

She said this during an interview before the proclamation of Marcos as the next president at the Batasang Pambansa Complex. Imelda is the widow of late dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos. Last 2018, she was convicted of graft and was sentenced to prison.

She was sentenced to 6 to 11 years in prison for each of the seven counts of violating an anti-corruption law. She funneled illegally about $200 million to Swiss foundations during the 1970s while she was seated as Metropolitan Manila governor. Despite her conviction, she wasn’t arrested by the police because her health and her age were taken into consideration.

And now, after hearing that she’s now energetic and seemingly healthy as per her daughter’s statement, many netizens recalled her graft conviction and expressed that she is now also able to go to prison.

Here are some comments from Twitter:

she’s also strong enough now to be in jail.

ayan, she’s all better na pala. ikulong na yan.

Imelda suddenly can walk, hear, and like all her illnesses suddenly disappear. Then, IKULONG NYO NA, CONVICTED YAN DIBA?

Sabi ni Imee, maliksi na raw ulit si Imelda. So pwede na po ba ikulong?

Maliksi na ulit. Pwede na ikulong yan. Charot!

Kung maliksing-maliksi at lahat ng sakit-sakit at nararamdaman ay nawala, puwede na siguro ikulong bilang convicted.

Maliksing-maliksi na? So pwede na siyang hulihin at ikulong? Long overdue na kasi.
