HERBERT BAUTISTA PLATFORMS – Here are the accomplishments of Herbert Bautista and the things he promises to do if he gets elected as Senator in the May 2022 Elections.

Herbert Constantine “Bistek” Maclang Bautista is an actor and politician. He has served in public office for more than 30 years. He began his political career when he was elected president of Kabataan Barangay National Federation.

The 53-year-old politician recently served as mayor of Quezon City from 2010 to 2019. He is included in the senatorial slate of the UniTeam tandem of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte-Carpio.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Herbert Bautista was born on May 12, 1968, in Quezon City to Rosario Maclang, a restaurateur, and Herminio Bautista, who became a two-term city councilor from the fourth district. He has two siblings Hero and Harlene (formerly married to actor Romnick Sarmienta).

In 1992, Bistek graduated from the San Beda College of Manila with a baccalaureate degree in Philosophy and Letters. He has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from UP Diliman.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Herbert Bautista served 3 consecutive terms as vice mayor in Quezon City from 2001 to 2010. As vice mayor, he was among the authors of the ‘Green Building Ordinance.’ It promotes and protects the interrelationship of the city’s natural ecosystem and urban development.

Bistek returned to the private sector until 2020 when he joined the 1502 Ready Reserve IB PH Army as commanding general. Bautista reached the rank of brigadier general.
