PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (April 18)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines was expecting a fair weather condition today.
On Monday (April 18, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country are also expected to experience similar weather condition.
The weather agency said that the entire country will have a good weather with isolated rain showers caused by thunderstorms. The public is also advised to avoid long exposure to the sun and remain hydrated to prevent dehydration.
“Sa araw na ito ay ang buong bansa ay makakaranas ng magandang panahon maliban na lang po sa mga isolated na pag-ulan na dulot ng thunderstorm,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
The weather bureau also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the seaboards of Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The rest of the entire archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
No weather disturbance has been spotted in the vicinity of the Philippine area of responsibility.
“Wala po tayong namo-monitor o binabantayang low pressure area o bagyo sa loob at sa labas ng ating Philippine area of responsibility,” Aurelio added.
