What the story behind this viral video of Herlene Budol?
Actress Herlene Budol caught the attention of the online community, especially the fans of Alden Richards, when she did a “stolen kiss” to the Pambansang Bae.
Herlene is known for her comedic stints onscreen but many fans did not like what she did to Alden. The two Kapuso stars met at an event last March and Harlene obviously couldn’t contain her admiration.
She has previously revealed that she si a huge AlDub fan, the love team of Alden and Maine Mendoza. In the video that Herlene posted on TikTok, it showed that she suddenly kissed Alden on the cheek.
Apparently, this did not sit well with some fans of the multimedia star. Based on the article in PEP, Herlene Budol explained what really happened at that time.
She said that Alden knew that she would kiss him. “Bago po ako nag-video, nagpaalam na po ako. Marami lang po talagang tao noon kaya parang hindi lang po sa akin naka-focus si Alden,” the former Wowowin host said.
Herlene also reacted to the comment that Alden frowned after she did that. “Kasi sabi nila [sa comments], sumimangot daw. Hindi naman po ganoon. Sobrang bait ni Alden. Walang eme talaga,” she clarified.
Once again, Harlene apologized to the fans of Alden if they felt offended by what she did. “Kung may mali po ako, sorry. Sorry sa mga AlDub nation at Aldenatics,” she said. Herlene Budol stressed that she is one of those fanatic supporters of AlDub and so that instance was a “kilig” moment for her.
Meanwhile, Herlene is set to embark on a new journey. She shared that she will be joining the Bibining Pilipinas pageant this year.
