Manny Pacquiao’s presidential candidacy is supported by Mommy Dionisio
The mother of Senator Manny Pacquiao, Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao, joined the campaign event in Nasugbu, Batangas on Friday.
Mommy D has been very supportive of her son’s boxing and political career. Previously, behind the support that she has for her son, she admitted that she was worried that all the money of the boxer-turned-politician will be spent on his candidacy.
In a recent interview, Mommy D said that she would remain an “adviser” to her son and her advice is for him to do his best for his countrymen. Apparently, aside from being an adviser, Mommy Dionisia plays the role in a recent sortie in Batangas.
The Senator, his mother, and his wife attended a religious gathering in Nasugbu on April 8. Based on the report from Inquirer, this is the second time that Mommy D joined the campaign rally of her son. She also spoke to the people.
In a short clip, Mommy D asked the audience if they want her son to be the next president and the crowd clapped. She thanked the crowd for their show of support.
Meanwhile, PDP-Laban chairman Sen. Koko Pimentel believes that Sen. Manny Pacquiao will rise victorious in this year’s presidential race. This is despite that pre-election survey results showed that the boxer-turned-politician would only get the fourth or fifth spot in the presidential survey.
“Alam pa rin namin ngayon that we still have a chance. I call it a narrow path to victory but still it is there,” Pimentel said in a previous interview. Sen. Pacquiao called the pre-election surveys “mind conditioning.” Almost all surveys have shown that UniTeam’s Bongbong Marcos is leading and followed by Vice President Leni Robredo.
